Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use daancee.com in any language. Please read them, above all part 4: the nights we list can change without us knowing.
Last updated 29 October 2026- Daancee is a free guide to dance nights. We do not organise them, run the venues or sell tickets.
- We gather nights from publicly available information. Nights get moved or cancelled, and we can get a detail wrong or leave an old night up: always check with the host before you go.
- The host and the venue are responsible for the night itself: entry, prices, safety and refunds.
- Something wrong, or your night or picture listed against your wishes? Write to [email protected] and we correct or remove it.
1Who we are
Daancee (“Daancee”, “we”, “us”) is run by Mert Yacan, a sole proprietor in Turkey, trading as Soolloo Labs. You can reach us at [email protected].
By using daancee.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
2What Daancee is, and is not
Daancee is an information service: a map and a list of social dance nights (salsa, bachata, kizomba, zouk and others) by city. It is free for dancers to use.
- We do not organise, host or run any night we list, and we are not the venue.
- We do not sell tickets or take payments, and we have no part in any booking, purchase or refund between you and a host or venue.
- We are not an agent, partner or representative of any organiser or venue. A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a guarantee that a night is good, safe or right for you.
3Where the nights come from
We write our listings ourselves, in good faith, from information that organisers, venues and others make publicly available, and from tips that visitors send us. We decide what is published.
Organisers do not post on Daancee themselves yet. We do not usually confirm a night with its host before listing it, so a listing is only as good as the public information behind it on the day we read it.
4Nights change: check before you go
Dance nights change often, and usually without anyone telling us. Any listing may be incomplete, wrong or out of date. In particular:
- a night can be cancelled, postponed, moved to another day, time or venue, or stop for good;
- a weekly night is shown on every date in its pattern until we learn that it has stopped or skips a week;
- prices, entry rules, age limits, dress codes, line-ups, classes and times are a guide only, and the host's own figures apply;
- by mistake, we may list a night that has already ended, show it on the wrong date, or place it at the wrong address;
- a translation of a night's words may be imperfect.
Before you travel, pay or make plans around a night, confirm it with its host or venue, for example on the social pages linked from the night. You rely on a listing at your own risk, and we are not responsible for travel, tickets, bookings, time or other costs that follow from a listing being wrong, out of date or cancelled. When we learn that a listing is wrong, we correct or remove it as soon as we reasonably can.
5Going to a night
Each night is the responsibility of its host and its venue: whether it takes place, entry and door policy, prices and refunds, age checks, alcohol, the premises and everyone's safety. Questions, complaints and claims about a night go to them, not to us.
Social dancing is a physical activity with close contact and some risk of injury. Dance within your limits, look after yourself and your partners, and follow the venue's rules and the law where you are. Nothing in this part limits a host's or a venue's own responsibility to you.
6Corrections and removal
If a listing is wrong, outdated or about you, tell us at [email protected], or with the “Something wrong here?” link on the night's page. Please include the night's link and what should change.
- Organisers, venues and anyone named in a listing can ask us to correct it, or to remove it or their name. We do so without asking for a reason, usually within two working days.
- We may change, hide or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, including when we cannot confirm it.
- Removing a listing from Daancee does not remove copies that search engines or others have already made.
7Names, pictures and other people's rights
The facts of a night (its name, date, time, place and price) are information, which we restate in our own words. Names, logos and trademarks of organisers, venues and others belong to their owners and are used only to identify the night; their use does not mean they support Daancee.
If you believe something on Daancee infringes your copyright, trademark, image or other rights, write to [email protected] with: who you are and how to reach you; the link to the page; the work or right concerned; and a statement that the information is accurate and that you own the right or act for its owner. We remove or disable the material promptly, usually within three working days, and may restore it if the claim turns out to be unfounded.
Daancee's own design, code, texts and the catalogue as a collection are ours. You may share links to any page and quote a night's details for personal use.
8Accounts
You do not need an account to use Daancee. If you make one, you must be at least 18 years old, give an email address you control and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
An account does not do much yet; when it gains features, these terms will say how they work. You can ask us to delete your account at any time at [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or others at risk.
9Using the site fairly
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, crawl, harvest or export listings in bulk, or build a database or a competing service from them, by any means, beyond what search engines do to index public pages;
- get around our limits, the bot check, or any other protection, or try to overload, probe or break into the site;
- send us false, misleading, unlawful, abusive or infringing tips, or other people's personal data without a right to share it;
- use Daancee in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
Tips you send through “Ask for your city” are suggestions. We may use them to look for nights and publish what we find, and you allow us to do so; we are not obliged to act on them.
10Other services we link to
Night pages link to services we do not run, such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Google Maps, Apple Maps, calendar apps and hosts' own websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
11Featured listings and advertising
Daancee is free for dancers. In future, we may offer organisers and venues paid services, such as featured or promoted listings, and the site may show advertising.
- Paid or promoted listings and ads will be marked as such.
- Paying changes only where and how prominently a listing appears. It is not an endorsement, and we do not check a paid listing more than any other: part 4 applies to it in full.
- Advertisers are responsible for their ads and for what they offer. We are not a party to anything you buy from them.
- Paid services will have their own terms, shown before you buy, which will apply alongside these.
12The site as it is
Daancee is free and provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, free of errors or fit for any particular purpose. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it, or limit access to it, at any time and without notice.
13Our liability
Daancee is free for you to use, and as the law allows for a service given without charge, we are liable to you only for harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence. In particular, we are not liable for:
- a night being cancelled, changed, wrongly or incompletely listed, or listed after it ended;
- anything a host, a venue, another guest or another service does or fails to do;
- indirect or consequential loss, such as lost time, travel, bookings, opportunities or enjoyment;
- the site being unavailable, slow, or showing errors.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for intent or gross negligence, or takes away the rights that consumer law where you live gives you.
If you use Daancee in breach of part 9, for example by sending us unlawful content, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and claims that result for us.
14Changes to the site and these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Daancee gains new features. The date at the top shows the latest version. When a change matters, we say so on the site, and we email account holders before it takes effect. Using Daancee after a change means you accept the new terms.
15Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, and the courts of Turkey decide disputes about them. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in its courts. Please write to us first: most problems are solved by an email.
16The rest
These terms are written in English and translated into the site's other languages for convenience. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text applies.
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to whoever takes over Daancee.
Questions about these terms: [email protected].
